We are exploring the potential closure of Doski Medical Practice – Bournville (41b Sycamore Road) as the site is no longer fit for purpose. No decision has been made but we are working through our options and scoping views from patients and the local community around the proposed closure of the surgery and want to ensure that our patients are fully informed and consulted.
There are a number of issues with the Bournville site including problems with the lease of the building, maintenance and repairs and increasing costs. We have also found that a number of patients have already chosen to relocate to the Doski Medical Practice – Ley Hill site, or have registered at College Green Medical Practice, to access better more modern and suitable facilities.
If Doski Medical Practice- Bournville were to close, patients would still be able to access a full range of services at Doski Medical Practice, located at Ley Hill, 101 Holloway, Northfield, Birmingham B31 1TR. Ley Hill Health Centre is a more modern site with improved facilities for patients and is close to bus stops for the number 18 and 39 buses. Patients will also have the option to register at a different GP Practice, such as the College Green Medical Practice, close to Bournville Gardens Retirement Village and the Bristol Road. Our team are happy to support any patients who require help with registering with a new practice.
